The guest of honour also encouraged young people to become the ambassadors of voluntary blood donation. 'Let us donate blood when we are eligible, let us spread awareness when we have the opportunity, and let us encourage others to serve and above all, let us build a society where no person in need of blood is left waiting because a willing donor could not be found' he cited. In his concluding remarks he reiterated to give blood, give hope and give the gift of life.
